Un peu plus sur moi

I am a certified birth doula and a "student of life" passionate about the human body and women’s strength. With a background in Industrial Engineering, two Master’s degrees, several yoga, and massage certifications, my doula practice is evidence-based but also compassionate and warm. I believe in the beautiful merge of tradition and science.

Back in 2019, I decided to shift my engineering path. Since then, I’ve shared the yoga practice across different countries, integrating movement and breath. Now, I also include conscious touch through massage to help people feel connected and safe.

I gravitated toward serving as a doula after getting in touch with my own birth story. This led me to question how women have been deprived of the true connection and care that only other women can give. Since then, I have studied birth/postpartum and waterbirth techniques in Guatemala, Mexico, and Canada to be part of a real change: improving the world, one birth at a time.

What to expect when working with me:

- A loving, energetic, and kind presence.
- Constant reminders of the power of your body and your intuition.
- Personalized services of yoga and massages in your journey to rebirth as a mother.
- A calming presence to support you during labour. - A guardian and an advocate for your birth preferences.
- A safe space for your birth partner. Their experience matters too.
- Nurtured care during postpartum.

Becoming a first-time mother at 37 and hearing the term "geriatric pregnancy" was, without a doubt, intimidating.

As I usually do, I started researching everything I could about pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and breastfeeding. During that process, I came across a word that caught my attention: doula. The more I learned, the more I realized that while much of the focus is rightly placed on the physical health of both mother and baby, very few professionals truly address the mother's emotional and mental well-being or take the time to explain, in clear and understandable terms, what is actually happening to her body.

In a country like El Salvador, where this type of support is only beginning to gain visibility, finding something like this felt entirely new.

When I found Ale, I was hesitant at first. Even so, we scheduled a consultation to discuss her experience, the services she offered, and how she could support me virtually despite the distance between our countries.

From that very first conversation, Ale listened. She listened to my questions, my fears, my expectations, my anxieties, and everything I had experienced up to that point. Even before I hired her, she took the time to provide guidance, support, and resources that could help me. We talked about different options, pricing, and how her services could be adapted to fit both my personal needs and my budget.

With patience, empathy, and compassion, Ale has supported me not only throughout my pregnancy but also through a profound and unexpected loss. She has helped me navigate that grief in the healthiest way possible, always keeping both my well-being and my baby's well-being in mind.

The knowledge I have gained from her, even through a single course, has been invaluable. She helped me understand the many possibilities surrounding labor and birth, medical interventions, what to expect during each stage, and how to confidently advocate for my preferences and wishes. At the same time, she encouraged me to keep an open mind about whatever may happen during the process, reminding me that the ultimate goal is to return home with my baby in my arms.

I truly believe the support Ale provides is incredibly valuable. Not only for first-time mothers, but also for women who have already experienced pregnancy and childbirth before. Having someone like her by your side—whether virtually or in person—can make a tremendous difference.

Ale is an exceptional professional with extensive knowledge, remarkable compassion, and a genuine commitment to the families she serves. I cannot fully express how grateful I am for her guidance and support throughout this beautifully chaotic journey

Alejandra is a unique soul who creates deep connections from the very first conversation. She truly loves what she does, and it shows naturally and effortlessly.

She is so much more than a doula: she is a friend, a sister, a confidante, and a reflection of humanity and compassion.

Unfortunately, I lost my baby, but Alejandra stayed. She cared deeply about my process and was there for me during one of the hardest moments of my life. She listened, understood, and helped me process and reflect on everything I was going through. She even offered me a massage when I needed comfort the most.

She is there when you need her, and she goes far beyond what you could ever expect from a doula. I wouldn’t think twice about choosing anyone else if I ever decide to try again.

I am incredibly grateful to have had her by my side

I can’t recommend Alela enough!

I started my prenatal journey with her prenatal yoga classes very early in my pregnancy. She taught me how to breath properly, become aware of my body, and move muscles I never even realized I could control.
Later, I continued my journey with her prenatal education classes. They opened my eyes to the different birth options and helped me understand what I would like- and what I wouldn’t - for my birth experience.
She is and amazing professional, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly supportive.

She offers her services both in English and Spanish, which made everything so much easier for and for my partner. Being able to learn in both languages helped him understand the entire process and feel prepared and involved every step of the way.

Thank you, Alela, for your dedication, compassion, and for empowering families through such an important chapter of their lives. I will always be grateful for your guidance.
