A little more about me

Kimberly Reine

Subject: Letter of Recommendation for Thalie Di Tomasso
To Whom It May Concern,
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Thalie Di Tomasso, whom I had the privilege of mentoring during her apprenticeship as a doula.
During her apprenticeship, Thalie accompanied me to two births, where I had the opportunity to observe her in the birth space and see firsthand the qualities she brings to this work. At times when I could not be there, she took initiative and offered our clients impeccable accompaniment and resources. She is consistently present, respectful, resourceful, and attentive to the needs of the birthing person and their family. She demonstrates an ability to remain grounded and supportive while also knowing when to step forward and when to give space.
Thalie has a genuine capacity to connect with people and brings compassion and empathy to her work, informed not only by her training but also by her own lived experience. I believe this perspective gives her a unique depth of understanding, with authenticity and without judgment.
Thalie also has experience in community work and has started working in peer support, which is an important strength in doula work and well-suited to her skills. She understands the value of listening, creating a safe and supportive environment, and empowering others. These qualities are evident in the way she interacts with our clients, their families and the medical care team.
It has been an honour to work with Thalie, and I am grateful to have her as a valued colleague.
Please feel free to contact me if you require any additional information.
Warmly,
Millie Tresierra
Thalie was an absolutely incredible doula from the very first day we met her. She always made sure I felt comfortable, supported, and heard. She showed me different movements and positions to help ease the pressure in my hips and pelvis, and even let me borrow her scarf for hip compressions—which honestly felt like magic!
She worked closely with us to create a birth plan and constantly reminded me that the universe had my back. Through every fear, struggle, and unexpected change, she remained calm, reassuring, and right by my side.
Even during the long nights at the hospital, when our original plan completely changed and we ended up needing a C-section, Thailie never left us feeling alone. She held my hand, comforted me, and made sure I felt safe and cared for every step of the way.
We are so incredibly grateful to have had Thalie be part of such an important and emotional moment in our lives. Her kindness, warmth, and support meant more to us than words can express. She will always hold a very special place in our hearts. ️
