Thank you for your trust !

***From ancient wisdom to the light of science***

As prepared as I thought I was, my childbirth experience was challenging. Coming out of this experience, while discovering what being a parent in the day-to-day really meant, I felt drawn to helping change the birth paradigm. Supporting families in their birthing journey, helping them see success in every birth, even when things don’t go exactly as planned became a passion. As a life-long learner and birth nerd, I have dedicated years of my life training to becoming a 360-support person for birthing people, as a Birth Doula of course, but also as a Holistic Coach (certified Yoga therapist and Energy worker). Parents have also enjoyed my experience as a photographer, allowing them to preserve their safe birthing place from extra presence, while holding on to life-long souvenirs of this unique adventure. Making a point of defending empowered birth for ALL is essential to me, having supported parents with many different birth wishes, from home-birth to planned c-section. Protecting autonomy for families by providing them with judgement-free evidence-based information is what I centre my practice around. When I am not with birthing people, I spend my time composing music and creating contemporary art pieces. I love inviting my friends over to cook and care for them. As well as caring for my children (5 and 1 year old). Being the witness of birth is a real privilege, so I thank you for letting me in.

To know her is to love her
I’m going to start with this: HIRE HER NOW!
You will get not only someone who cares with her whole heart, but someone who is knowledgeable, supportive, encouraging, honest and loving.
When I got pregnant with my third baby on earth, I knew I would need/want a doula by my side. I was also attempting a VBA2C ( vaginal birth after 2 cesarians) and due to how not common vba2cs are, my obgyn advised me to get a doula so i can have help and support during the birth. My husband and I looked at many doulas before landing on Barbara. The moment we had our first meeting with her we knew right away she was the one. Her warmth and kindness was undeniable. Her honesty, knowledge and care made us feel so comfortable. She was also a vbac mama and knew how deeply birthing my baby vaginally meant to me.
Barbara was a rock my husband and I could rely on. During our session prior to the birth, she was there to listen to our worries, help us understand our options and guide us into making decisions that would not only reflect our desires but decisions that we would be ok with, regardless of the outcome. She listened and support us through our moments of questioning and doubt without putting any pressure on us. She was there at all times when we needed her.
During the birth, Barbara was just amazing. She supported & helped us advocate for what we wanted. She held a safe space for my husband and I during a moment where I doubted being able to birth my baby vaginally. She cheered me on and lifted my spirits when exhaustion was at its peek. She was a rock. I delivered my baby vaginally after 2 c-sections and I sincerely believe Barbara’s presence, support, love contributed greatly in making this dream come true.
As a photographer myself, i knew the importance of having moments of my birth captured. Barbara helped us accomplish that. Her eye for key and meaningful moments is so strong. The photos we received were beautifully curated and filled with emotion. She was able to capture all the feelings we had on that special day. Although I was never on the fence of having my birth photographed, i’m even more thankful that Barbara was the one who took them as her talent and eye for the special moments is undeniable.
To you Barbara, thank you. No words would ever be enough to express the gratitude we have for you. You were an anchor for our family and shared one of our greatest dreams. Thank you for all that you did. You will forever be a part of our family.

Barbara is an absolute star and angel, and we are so deeply grateful for their unwavering support before, during, and after the birth of our baby.
When we first browsed the doula profiles on Motherwit, Barbara immediately stood out. Doula, photographer, advocate, art and music enthusiast, and bilingual? They seemed like the perfect match for us! After our initial introduction call, we were so confident in Barbara that we didn’t feel the need to interview anyone else.
The prenatal classes Barbara provided were incredibly personalized and tailored to our needs. They shared detailed, evidence-based information about the many options available during labor. As a lawyer and advocate myself, I particularly valued this thorough approach. Barbara even walked us through hospital protocols and alternative options, sending us a document with scientific evidence to help us make informed decisions about what felt right for us.
While labor is unpredictable, Barbara’s preparation and calming presence ensured that my partner and I felt informed and in control as we navigated the many decisions throughout the process. My contractions lasted over 50 hours, and Barbara was there every step of the way. They helped me find the right mindset, suggested different positions and techniques to progress labor, and maintained constant communication with my partner to support me in the best way possible. And at the hospital, Barbara was a calm and steady presence.
We also decided to have Barbara capture photos of our baby’s first moments, and it was one of the best decisions we made. If you’re on the fence about it, don’t hesitate—do it! Seeing those intimate and magical moments beautifully captured is something we will treasure forever.
We couldn’t have asked for a better person to support us through the birth of our son. Barbara will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything, Barbara!

I am so grateful that I decided to give birth with doula Barbara.
Since My first birth and delivery were a bit traumatic for me as they ended up with a C-section. I wanted to be more prepared for the next pregnancy, birthing & delivery and therefore, I started looking for a doula this time.
From the first call, I was sure that Barbara is my person, a person who is very supportive, sincere and professional. Barbara gave me a clear picture of giving birth in Montreal as I am new here. She always got answers to any questions that I had during my pregnancy and labour &delivery.
I like she never avoids straight questions and gives the best pieces of advice and options which are based on research and my preferences.
During labour & delivery, she did everything to make it soft. I can’t imagine if she weren’t there. She made an enormous job, always advocating my choice and standing on my side while mitigating circumstances to balance between my preferences and hospital “protocols” to find a better way for me.
It was hard to avoid epidural last two hours but thanks to Barbara, she knew exactly what I need to do without odd questions. She was supportive physically massaging in time, helping me choose a better position and mentally to cheer me up whenever it was needed.
I would highly recommend Barbara as a professional in her job. I would say it’s more than a “job”, it feels how dedicated she is, like it’s her spiritual devotion.
She always standing on your side that’s very important when sometimes you have different fluctuations of mood: feeling down/undecided/or almost giving up.
Thank you. I would choose Barbara again (If I ever decide to go for the 3rd child :D) and would recommend everyone who wants to experience a consciousness and soft birthing & delivery.
